Take it down, build it back

Asphalt Paving & Milling in Metro Detroit

New driveways and lots, plus full-depth and partial-depth milling to reclaim a failing surface without tearing out the whole structure — then repaved to grade, with the drainage corrected while we're in there.

Capabilities

What this scope covers.

New paving, plus full-depth and partial-depth milling to reclaim a failing surface without tearing out the whole structure.

01Road and parking lot paving

Binder and surface courses placed at proper compacted thickness.

02Full-depth and partial-depth milling

Surface taken to base where the structure is genuinely finished.

03Asphalt approaches and pathways

Just the failed wear course off, sound base left in place.

04Base repair and preparation

New surface course placed and rolled to density.

How we do it

Start to finish

01

Core & assess

We determine how deep the failure actually goes. That decides partial versus full depth, and it drives the whole cost.

02

Mill to depth

Milled to a consistent profile, millings hauled or reused on site as base where they're suitable.

03

Repair & regrade

Soft base areas rebuilt, grade adjusted so water leaves the surface instead of sitting on it.

04

Pave, compact & stripe

Hot-mix placed at temperature and rolled to density. Striping restored where it applies.

Common questions

Straight answers

What's the difference between milling and a straight overlay?

An overlay adds thickness on top, which can raise the surface above curbs and door thresholds. Milling removes material first, so the finished grade stays put — and it lets us see and fix what's underneath.

Can the millings be reused?

Often yes, as compacted base on the same site. Cuts both haul-off and import cost.

How long is the lot out of service?

Usually 2–5 days depending on size. We can phase it to keep part of the lot open throughout.
