Why do paver driveways sink?

Almost always insufficient base depth or compaction, or missing edge restraint. The pavers themselves rarely fail — the assembly under them does.

Do pavers handle Michigan winters?

Better than most surfaces, because individual units can move slightly without cracking. They plow fine, and a damaged paver is a single-unit swap instead of a patch.

Can you fix an existing paver area?

Yes. Lifting, re-basing and resetting a settled section is routine, and far cheaper than a rebuild.
