Poured for freeze-thaw

Concrete Slabs & Flatwork in Metro Detroit

Driveways, garage pads, sidewalks and residential slabs across Detroit and Metro Detroit — poured on a properly prepared base and reinforced for the freeze-thaw cycle, so the surface still looks right after its third winter, not just its first.

Capabilities

What this scope covers.

Driveways, garage pads, sidewalks and residential slabs poured on a prepared base and reinforced for Michigan winters.

01Driveways & approaches

Full tear-out and replace, or a new pour on prepared subgrade.

02Garage & shed slabs

Thickened edges and reinforcement sized to what you're parking on it.

03Sidewalks & walkways

Proper jointing, so cracks land where we put them.

04Reinforced slabs

Rebar or mesh where the load and the soil call for it.

How we do it

Start to finish

01

Measure & quote

We walk the area, check access and drainage, and give you a written number with the tear-out priced in or out — clearly.

02

Tear-out & base prep

Old surface out, subgrade graded and compacted. This is the step most failures trace back to.

03

Form & pour

Forms set to grade for drainage, exterior mix specified for Michigan, reinforcement placed before the truck arrives.

04

Finish, joint & cure

Broom or smooth finish, control joints cut at proper spacing, and a clear date for when you can drive on it.

Common questions

Straight answers

How much does a concrete driveway cost?

It moves with square footage, thickness, reinforcement, and whether there's an old surface to remove. A standard two-car residential driveway is the most common job we quote — send the address and we'll give you a real number, not a range.

How long before I can drive on it?

Foot traffic in 24–48 hours, vehicles at 7 days as a rule. We'll confirm the exact date before we leave the site.

Will it crack?

All concrete moves. A good pour controls where — proper base, correct thickness, reinforcement, and joints cut at the right spacing. Uncontrolled cracking is a prep problem, not a concrete problem.
