How we do it
Start to finish
Evaluate the base
We probe for soft spots and check drainage. If the base is the problem, paving over it wastes your money and we'll say so.
Excavate & build base
Grade, add and compact aggregate, correct the slope so water sheds.
Pave & compact
Hot-mix placed at temperature and rolled to density. Compaction is what determines lifespan.
Edge, clean & advise
Edges dressed, site cleaned, and clear guidance on cure time and first-season care.
Common questions
Straight answers
Asphalt or concrete for a driveway?
Asphalt costs less up front, goes in faster and handles freeze-thaw movement well, but it needs sealcoating every few years. Concrete costs more and needs less maintenance. It's a budget and maintenance-appetite question, not a right-answer question.
How soon can I drive on new asphalt?
Usually 24–72 hours depending on temperature. Avoid parking in the same spot or turning the wheel while stationary for the first few weeks.
How long does asphalt last?
15–20 years with sealcoating and crack sealing on schedule. Considerably less without.
