The one thing the big outfits skip

Decorative Concrete Services in Metro Detroit

Stamped, colored and sealed concrete, paver patios, walkways and seat walls. Most outfits doing civil and commercial work won't touch decorative — Leija does both, which means the crew pouring your patio has poured a parking lot.

Capabilities

What this scope covers.

Stamped, colored and sealed concrete, paver patios and seat walls — the finish work most site contractors won't touch.

01Stamped & colored concrete

Pattern and integral color, sealed to hold the finish through Michigan winters.

02Paver patios & walkways

Laid over compacted aggregate with edge restraint and polymeric joints.

03Seat walls & fire pits

Built to the furniture and the use, not to a catalog dimension.

04Sealing & resealing

The step that decides whether the color still looks right in year five.

How we do it

Start to finish

01

Layout on site

We chalk the footprint so you can stand in it before anything is dug. Cheapest possible time to change your mind.

02

Excavate & base

Dig to depth, compact aggregate in lifts, set slope away from the house.

03

Pour, stamp or lay

Poured and stamped, or pavers laid with edge restraint and swept joints.

04

Detail & seal

Borders, steps and walls finished, surface sealed, site cleaned up behind us.

Common questions

Straight answers

Stamped concrete or pavers?

Stamped usually costs less per square foot and gives a continuous surface. Pavers cost more, but single units can be lifted and reset and they tolerate movement better. Both work here when the base is right.

Does stamped concrete hold up to Michigan winters?

Yes, when it's sealed and resealed. Sealing is what protects the color and the surface from freeze-thaw and road salt — skip it and it'll grey out.

How long does a patio take?

Most residential patios are 3–6 working days on site, plus cure time before furniture goes on a poured surface.
